TAG Heuer Monaco Special Edition

TAG Heuer Monaco Special Edition

The original Heuer Monaco Calibre 11 is a legend. It actually qualified as one of the world’s first self-winding chronograph movements, and Steve McQueen made it famous during the filming of the Le Mans movie back in 1971. TAG Heuer has released a special edition Monaco to celebrate the Monaco Grand Prix. This dark horological square gets the “evil twin” treatment via a matte black DLC finish on the 39mm Grade 2 titanium case and a matching black dial. The drama comes from the 18K rose gold-plated detailing on the hands, markers, and the small seconds hand just above the 6 o’clock position. The special watch is powered by an in-house Heuer 02 movement with 80 hours of power reserve and a rose gold-plated rotor. We’re not sure the King of Cool would wear this, but he would be honored nonetheless.
