Beloved director and screenwriter Paul Thomas Anderson is returning to the silver screen with his latest film: Licorice Pizza. The film, set in the San Fernando Valley 1970s, stars Alana Haim, one of the sisters in the indie band Haim, alongside Cooper Hoffman, the son of late actor and frequent collaborator with Anderson Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Paul Thomas Anderson has already worked with Alana as well as her sisters in the band Haim on several music videos. The coming of age movie features a star-studded cast includes Sean Penn, Bradley Cooper, Tom Waits, Maya Rudolph, and Benny Safdie. Licorice Pizza is scheduled for a limited release on November 26, 2021, before a nationwide release on December 25th.
