Ahead of its official unveiling at CES, Samsung has dropped some details about their latest high-end gaming monitor the Odyssey G9. This isn’t the first 49″ curved gaming monitor that Samsung has released, but it is the most advanced for a number of reasons. First off, this is the first consumer display with a 1000R curvature that mimics the field of view of the human eye. It also has: Dual Quad High-Definition with an insane resolution of 5120×1440, 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, 32:9 aspect ratio and a peak brightness of 1000 cd/m2. As if the tech specs weren’t enough to leave you impressed, the design is downright gorgeous for a computer monitor with it’s glossy white exterior and rear lighting. The Samsung Odyssey G9 Curved QLED Gaming Monitor will be unveiled at CES this week with pricing and availability information to be announced closer to its launch date later this year.
