When Polaroid stopped manufacturing instant film and analog hardware almost a decade ago it created a void in the camera with instant gratification market that quite a few other brands attempted to fill. There’s nothing wrong with those options, but they never quite delivered on the true experience of using a Polaroid camera. None of that matters anymore, because Polaroid is back with a new instant camera dubbed the OneStep 2 i-Type that once again proves what’s old is new again. The camera was inspired by the original OneStep but updated for a modern point-and-shoot world. With a 2 foot to infinity lens, 60-day rechargeable battery, powerful flash and the ubiquitous self-time function, the OneStep 2 i-Type is the perfect way to create permanent memories at a moment’s notice. Unlike some other options on the market, this instant camera uses B&W or Color i-Type film with an image area a little over 3″ x 3″, so you won’t have to squint to make out the subject matter like you would in the smaller shots from other cameras. The Polaroid OneStep 2 i-Type Camera will be released midway through October in both a white and charcoal version.
