We haven’t come across portable audio quite like Teenage Engineering’s brilliant OB-4 Magic Radio. It actually works like magic with the ability to record, rewind, and loop any sound/music/voice, etc. that’s played through its sleek black housing and speakers. That includes live radio, a streaming playlist via Bluetooth, or an instrument hooked up to it. It uses a two-hour loop that memorizes anything played and can roll it in perpetuity. The OB-4 also has the ability to manipulate the sound by adding DJ skills with loop length adjustment or beat-repeat via the digitally motion-controlled tape reel knob. The unique handle houses the spiral antennae and also acts as a stand. The Magic Radio can also run for about 40 hours of listening on a single charge and is completely portable.
