When it comes to great audio, Bose has always been a name you can trust. Their soundbars and noise-cancelling earbuds might not be the cheapest options available, but they more than deliver with quality audio, good design and great construction. The one thing Bose hadn’t tackled was the smart home speaker market, but that’s changed with the Bose Home Speaker 500. A clear shot-across-the-bow toward Sonos, this new Bose gives you wall-to-wall stereo sound from a single speaker (with no need to pair additional units as they point out) and Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant built-in. You’ll also get options for multi-room music, a personalized Bose Music app, a built-in display and the ability to stream music from all of your favorite services or watch a movie in single speaker surround sound. The Bose Home Speaker 500 will be available later this year in black and silver colorways.
