Want a personalized listening experience on-the-go without having to go full silent disco or carry a pair of headphones? Enter Bose Frames, the new sunglasses from the renowned audio manufacturer that have built-in speakers in the arms of the glasses. Yes, you read that correctly. No, this isn’t a joke. Bose really made metal-hinged, nylon-rimmed, rechargeable sunglasses in two different styles that will allow you to listen to music, take conference calls and even experience Bose AR without having to carry any extra devices. The Alto frames have a slightly more angular yet decidedly Wayfarer-esque silhouette, while the Rondo frames are much more circular. Both styles are available now and include the miniaturized Bose speakers hidden in the temples. Is it gimmicky? Sure. But it’s not like Bose is asking you to wear a full-size helmet or something other piece of completely absurd tech–the sunglasses are actually stylish and not that bulky or expensive–so what do any of us have to lose?
