Technics is a brand that requires no introduction because the Technics 1200 Turntable is, quite possibly, the best turntable ever made–especially from a DJing perspective. Despite the fact the brand is best known for their iconic turntables, they actually got their start with a small and revolutionary 2-way bookshelf speaker system over fifty years ago in 1965. Technics is getting back to their roots with the new SB-C600 Compact Bookshelf Speaker, a 2-way bass reflex speaker system that combines a unique coaxial drive built on the ‘Linear Phase’ principle with a phase precision driver, balanced driver mounting architecture, and a rigid cabinet to create a compact set of speakers that output next level sound based on the technology of their larger SB-G90M2 speakers with a fraction of the space requirements. In other words, they’re as amazing as everything else Technics makes. The Technics SB-C600 Bookshelf Speaker System is set to drop later this year for around $1,100.
