The game of golf hasn’t changed much over the years. You hit the ball. You find the ball. You put the ball in the cup. You repeat. Rover is changing the experience with an autonomous, robotic, hands-free caddie that follows you around the course. In addition to carrying your clubs, the golf caddie robot also has a personal cooler, drink holders, a divot bottle, USB-ports for phone charging and a tablet with GPS that gives you an accurate range to the hole. You lose the fun and mobility of the golf cart, but walking is better for you and your game, and the Rover also speeds up rounds. There are a number of courses all across the United States currently equipped with Rover: Torrey Pines Golf Club,Plymouth Country Club, Druid Hills Country Club, The Cliffs at Walnut Cove and Westwood Country Club just to name a few. As if having a personal golf robot wasn’t enough, $1 from every single rental goes directly to The First Tee or LPGA Girls Golf charities.
